Mahjong Open Play

It's time to play mahjong!

Whether you have just learned through one of our Mahjong 101 classes or another beginner class, or are more experienced, we would love for you to come and join one of our open play sessions! 

A lot of us have just recently learned, so this is a very casual group, and some folks can double up in teams if we have the numbers.

BYOB! We've got plates, silverware, napkins, cups, etc. Bring some snacks and beverages, and let's play! Snacks must be appropriate for the game, which means we must respect the tiles we are playing with. Anything that leaves any residue on your fingers is not allowed. This means most chips and crackers! Please use your best judgment when choosing snacks to bring.

If you have never played, we highly recommend The Mahjong Society to learn American mahjong. You can book private groups through them, or take one of their scheduled classes. Everyone is so welcoming, we can't say enough good things about them.

* CANCELLATION POLICY:

No refunds or credits will be given if you miss a session for any reason. We understand that things happen, but we have limited space and we count on everyone's $10 to cover the cost of our time/utilities/provided snacks/supplies, which still have to be paid even if you are not there. If we are unable to cover our costs due to cancellations, then we will have to raise our event price, and we really don't want to do that.

If you reach out to us more than a week in advance, we are willing to try to fill your spot. We can never guarantee that we can fill it, but if we do, we will credit you for a future session.

Participants must be 21 years or older.
