This sewing class is perfect if you are comfortable with a sewing machine and would like to build your skills! We will be using the Easy Zipper Cases pattern by Sew Hungry Hippie and you'll also need:

•2 quilting cotton fat quarters for exterior*

•2 quilting cotton fat quarters for lining

•1 yard SF 101 interfacing

•1 12" or 14" zipper

• coordinating thread

*If you plan to make a contrast bottom, additional fabric will be necessary.

Also needed: fabric scissors, pins or wonder clips, heat erasable marking pen

Class will meet for 3 hours. You will receive instruction, including reading a pattern,

attaching interfacing to fabric, cutting down a zipper to size and installing a zipper. You may bring your own machine or use one of ours. Supplies should be purchased before the start date of class. In class, we will make the large size zipper case. We recommend quilting cotton because it is the easiest to learn on. You may use the other types of fabrics listed on the pattern on your own, and we will discuss this in class. Your pattern should be printed and / or traced before class starts so that you are ready to cut and sew in the class.

Please note that we have a one-week rescheduling policy and that classes are non-refundable. We can credit you for another class if we are notified at least one week in advance. We cannot guarantee make-ups for no-shows or cancellations within one week.
