Quilted Holiday Stocking 10/13/24 12:30pm - 4pm

Sew up an adorable yet sophisticated stocking before the holiday season is upon us! This contemporary quilted stocking is based on a free pattern from Suzy Quilts.

Please note this class is for intermediate sewists. All students need to be proficient on a sewing machine, and we recommend bringing your own machine if you have one.

There is homework! Fabrics need to be purchased ahead of time, then washed and pressed before class. Threads should also be selected ahead of time so bobbins can be wound in advance. Please make sure you are prepared for class so you can complete your stocking.

Supplies you'll need:

• fabric A (center diamond and hanger) 1 fat quarter

• fabric B (dominant background) 1 fat quarter

• fabric C (non-dominant background) 1 fat quarter

• fabric D (back of stocking ) 1 fat quarter (could be same as fabric B)

• fabric E (lining) ½ yard

• batting ½ yard

• rotary cutter

* cutting mat

• quilting ruler

• straight pins and safety pins

• neutral thread for assembling quilted front

• coordinating color thread for quilting

• heat sensitive marker

• sticky notes (for keeping fabrics straight)

• stocking template (this will be provided for you to trace)

• tracing paper
