Let's make worsted weight sweaters! This class is for you if you've always wanted to make your first sweater, but need some guidance along the way. Or maybe you have made a sweater before, but you want to tackle something a little more difficult and learn some new techniques. Please note that you should be very comfortable with knitting basics, including casting on, knitting and purling.

This class takes place over five 2-hours sessions, beginning Saturday, November 2nd. Sometimes we meet back-to-back weeks, and other times you have more knitting time between sessions. During each session, Hilary will guide you through whatever you need, including but certainly not limited to:

• top down or bottom up sweater construction

• various methods of increasing & decreasing

• various methods of seaming or kitchener stitch

• double point, FlexiFlip or magic loop sleeve construction

• stranded knitting, cables & other patterning

The goal is to get you through what you want to make! The only rule is that you choose something worsted weight or heavier (dk maybe...), so that you can accomplish what you set out to do. We're always here at the shop to help you pick patterns and yarn, of course!

This class will be small and each participant will get very specialized attention. Hilary will also be sharing all of her tips and tricks from nearly a decade of garment knitting experience. It'll be the WORSTed.
